My dearest Advent Family,

The scripture I wanted to share with you today comes from Jeremiah 32:27 (NLT) says, “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for ME?”

What an appropriate verse in light of chaos and war that seems to loom over the entire world! This verse comforts me and offers peace to my soul in the midst of fear, anxiety, and what seems to be the uncertainty of the future. And it ultimately reminds me of the sovereignty of God and to bend to this truth of His character!

This passage of Jeremiah affirms Philippians 2:10: “[…] so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, […]”.

I encourage you to trust in the fact that if God in all His sovereignty can “feed” the birds and “clothe” the flowers, don’t you think He’s got a full and complete handle on the chaos of the world? And more so, that He’s got your whole life in His hands that was designed for His good purpose!?

Heavenly Father,

What a sovereign God You are! You know every detail about me and even before they come to light, You know me. But You don’t just know me, You love me unconditionally! Help me today to cast all my cares and worries at the foot of the cross and it’s in the Mighty Name of Your Son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

In His Hands,

Angel Kruse
