Christian Leadership Reflects Christ
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5 (NIV)
Confidence, capability, and courage all point us toward something greater: becoming more like Christ. Jesus is the perfect example of Christian leadership. Although He was the Son of God, He chose humility, compassion, service, and sacrifice. He led not by demanding power, but by loving others deeply.
In today’s culture, leadership is often measured by status, influence, or recognition. But Jesus measured leadership differently. He washed His disciples’ feet. He welcomed children. He cared for the overlooked and hurting. He showed us that true Christian leaders are people who serve others with humility and love.
No matter your role or season of life, people are watching how you live. The way we speak, encourage, forgive, and care for others can point people toward Jesus. Christian leadership is not about being perfect; it is about allowing Christ’s character to shine through us more each day.
Reflection
When others interact with you, do they see the love and humility of Christ? What is one way you can reflect Jesus more clearly this week?
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for showing us what true leadership looks like. Help us to lead with humility, kindness, patience, and grace. Shape our hearts so that others see You through the way we live and love. Amen.
